Meet Your Instructor

Meet Your Instructor

My name is Tyree Wolverton and love sharing my musical journey with everyone around me.

If you are like me, listening to music is always a joy! I didn't just want to listen to it, I wanted to create it! I sat at my mom's piano trying to make the same sounds that she did. She was a great pianist and flutist and inspired me to be where I am today. Today, I practice on my own Steinway Concert Grand at home. Having access to a truly miraculous instrument is an inspiring experience just by itself.

But guess what's the #1 thing I've learned throughout my entire journey... 👉  It's not about the instrument you play on, or the quality of your pipes, or that you never make a mistakes while you play, The passion you perform with, especially when engrossed with confidence is far more attractive than pouring any amount of worry into all the other stuff. I've performed all over the country, and even some other parts of the world. I meet amazing musicians everywhere I go and my favorite ones are the ones who love creating new experiences with you. It's pure joy to be around them and they make you feel that it's their pleasure to be in your presence. AND THAT RIGHT THERE is what inspired me to create the Mr. Ree Music Literacy Course. I want you to be a confident musician that plays with passion that won't hesitate to share your experiences with others. I'm not worried about you having the most expensive instrument, or if you don't think anyone would like to hear the sound of your voice, and I promise not to cringe at wrong notes any time you make them. I want to hear that piece of your heart that connects with the rest of humanity through song. The first skill I want to start with is helping you read music.

But I get it, you probably don't have the same passion for sharing music with others... and that's okay! But maybe, you have your own reason why learning how to read music speaks to you. That is something I CAN HELP YOU WITH! Since starting my musical education career, I have taught over a thousand students... Vocalists, Instrumentalists, Percussionists, all Musicians who had varied music readings skills when I first met them. From absolutely beginner to individuals starting a budding music career. I combined everything I have taught over the years and have taken the very best content to create a course that is well organized and flows organically in hopes that I can help improve your life. I hope you're as excited as I am for you to begin this journey! I hope you and I someday get to make music together!
